this is super cool!

X3LL3N responds:

Thanks a lot !

the dubstep drop at the end is INSANE

Zoftle responds:

Thank you :D

i'd recognize that nexus "soft and tiny" piano preset anywhere...

SpockAndStep responds:

actually, no. it's the Netherworld, and Nexus Grandpiano patches lmao

nice, the cold production and calming chords really remind me of winter! i also love the wonky beat and slow down in the second half

DrayxMusic responds:

Thank u :3

very cool, i really like the melodies and chords. one thing you could improve on about it is that it's not mastered (or maybe it is mastered but is just super quiet) i know that mastering isn't easy but just some mild compression and increasing the overall volume would improve the song a lot

JensVide responds:

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for listening!
Regarding the (lack of) loudness:
I was so new to producing at the time of that song that I might have straight up exported the project with the "project volume" set to less than 100%. I did that for another old song, I would not be surprised if that's the case :p

very nice, it'll be very cool to hear this in the context of a longer song

SamuraiOwl responds:

Oy! Thanks for the review bro!!
This is actually a preview of the full song, which is available on my BandCamp page: https://samuraiowl.bandcamp.com/track/heroes

Thanks again for the review! What specifically did you like? What didn't you like? What would you like to hear more of in the future?

my god, this drop is pure heavy chaos... that being said tho the parts that aren't the drop are a bit boring and are almost completely the same as the original song with some minor additions.

DemolisherMusic responds:

Honestly looking back at this track I completely agree with you. Around the time I was making this I didn't really have any ideas to change the beginning. This is mainly because I already liked how it sounded originally and I removed the parts in the beginning that I didn't like. So to compensate for the lack of changes in the beginning I completely reworked the drop and made it 100000x better than the original imo. Thanks for the review bro :D

all of the parts that weren't the dubstep parts were actually pretty ok, but the dubstep was basically just one repeated growl with some cymatics samples on top of them. that being said, keep trying, you'll get better!

Turboknight999 responds:

I don't plan on making dubstep for a loooong time

it feels a bit empty to me, but i do see serious potential here! this electro funk-y style seems pretty good!

V1ZION responds:

Thanks for your review!
